The diet has ended and you know what that means—it’s time to tell us all about your triumphs during the last twelve weeks. Is it easier to resist a second piece of cake now? Have you gotten into a routine of working out? Have you lost those last ten pounds? No change is too big or two small, we want to hear everything! As you’ve begun to measure portions this week, have you noticed you eat more than you think? Do you find your portions of certain foods are particularly large? For me, for example, I had no idea the potatoes I’ve been buying are 1/3 bigger than they should be and I realized I don’t think I’ve actually ever stuck to the recommended serving size of ice cream (1/2 cup?!). I’m starting to scale back slowly but surely.

I don’t know about you but I’m really looking forward to a long, relaxing 4th of July weekend. The one thing I’m not looking forward to though is exercising control around all the food we’ll be having! Without a doubt, I know I’ll be asked why I’m not having a second glass of wine or why I’d only like a small piece of cake. I’ve already coined a response—I’m going to say, “I’m just having a little bit now and I figure if I want more later, I can always go back.” What do you plan on saying to potential food pushers?
